BBL (Broadband Light) Hero is an advanced type of phototherapy treatment that uses high-intensity pulses of light to improve the appearance of skin.

We selected the BBL Hero which is the next generation of photo therapy because it’s designed to be used on larger areas of the body with shorter treatment times and improved results. This treatment can be used on various body parts including face, hands, chest, arms, legs and torso. 

The treatment works by delivering intense pulses of light energy to the skin, which is absorbed by specific chromophores, such as melanin (in pigmented areas) and hemoglobin (in blood vessels). This causes a targeted heating of the skin tissue, which stimulates the body’s natural healing response and promotes collagen production.

During the treatment, a handheld device is used to deliver the light pulses to the skin. The device is equipped with filters that can be adjusted to target specific skin concerns, such as hyperpigmentation, sun damage, acne, and vascular concerns like broken blood vessels (telangiectasia), rosacea, and cherry angiomas. The light energy penetrates the skin’s surface and is absorbed by the chromophores in the deeper layers of the skin.
